Used the airport today for first time in years. What really stood out was the friendly staff. Felt like there was more staff in Security in this airport than I've seen in Belfast Int. Airport! Will definitely try use this airport more, just need more competitive prices for London.
Nothing was open food or drink wise when we landed at 1045am. 3 flights land between 1000 and 1100 yet there is no public transport (bus) until 1244. I know it's a small Airport with relatively few flights, but at least time your buses to match the majority of arrivals! Had to wait for a Taxi, which took an hour. It shouldn't take 1h40m to get from the Airport to the City. It's 7 miles!
Some friends and I decided to pay for access to the Amelia Earhart lounge as our flight had been delayed.
The treatment we received from Michael was exceptional, second to none.
He had great local knowledge which he shared with us and made recommendations for our choices of beverages to pick from which we're also well received.
Would highly recommend treating yourself if you've got a bit of time to waste before your next flight.
Money well spent.
Nice little airport with plenty of parking and simple landing, pick up bags and go through to main terminal. Nice experience overall and as always, the people are lovely x
Easy & pleasant experience 🤷🏻♂️. Plenty of spaces in the car park. Security was a breeze. Only one shop but well enough stocked if you're only wanting something to drink or nibble on the flight or small touristy gifts. Got a seat easily in departure. Did have to wait a little bit for boarding but not excessively & flight did leave more or less on time. Upon returning home had a decent view of the city,always a plus. Disembarking was quick enough. The only real downside of it was paying the £25 for two days parking. Definitely using the airport every chance we get now. Worth paying a bit extra for the ease of travel rather than the hassle of travelling to Belfast and horror of getting through the Belfast airports and traffic ✅✅✅
Handy regional airport. The payment for just dropping someone off to the car park is annoying and a sign of the greed of our generation. You can drop people at the road and let them walk in. Its not far.
Nice airport with a brilliant “Amelia Earhart longe”. The staff for the longe were absolutely outstanding, particularly the man though, who was very professional. There was a disabled man in the lounge. The lounge man was constantly to him to see if he needed anything. He was great with us too. My only criticism of the lounge was there wasn’t any Prosecco in the fridge (my wife’s tipple) so for her “2 included drinks” she couldn’t have what she actually wanted. But still a great experience. I’ve knocked a star off because parking is very expensive! €40 for 3 nights. That’s actually more than the flight was!!!!
All the staff I came across on my journey yesterday were amazing. I was travelling with 2 kids and a dog so we had lots of stuff. I could not have asked for more kinder, patient, helpful ground, security and airport staff. A big thank you to you all.
